Me and my younger brother are watching a movie upstairs around 1:30 am and decided we were hungry and went down stairs to find some food, well we went into the garage to see if there was anything in the fridge we keep in there and i noticed my door was open and inside light was on, well went to close it and see this:

They didnt touch the brand new maxima or harley in the garage, the eclispe, sentra and dullay outside werent touched either. I have no idea who did this or why. we dont even know how they got in, we were on the easrten shore from 7am-730pm and the house was all locked up, and my dad locked up everything before we went to bed, when i found it the door to the garage was open.
im so upset its not even funny, i want to rip someones head off, im not going to stop untill i find who did this.

the only people i can think of that knew i was gone was my girlfriend and i was at a freinds house last night with 5 of my closest buddies and they knew i was gone for the day and thats it.
id call the cops to get them to run for prints
thats gonna cost alot of $ to get fixed...

cops were called as soon as i found it, they said my car was "too smooth" to lift prints and said the door to the garage was "too textured"...wtf?
and i have full coverage but my parents said were going to go through homeowners insurance instead, considering a color change now.

i doubt there would be any prints anyway, and that is byfar the worst keying i have ever seen in my entire life!!! to even gouge up wheels like that... wow.. obviously someone that knows you or hates the car, balls of big steel to actualy sneak in a garage and take that much time while in there.. If it was my Monte and caught doing that shit there be a 12ga slugs flying like no tommorow
door open and no interior damage?? Strange, guess your lucky they didnt carve the leather seats and hack wires as creative as they were. id check that car from head to toe, could be pinched brake lines and everything else.. shit in gas tank hence the smiley... man. who knows

The cops are just lazy and don't want to spend the time running the prints. Last time I had my car stereo stolen, the dumb asses cut themselves when they broke then window and left blood finger prints on the outside of the car. The cops wouldn't even come out and look, they just gave me a number that I could give to my insurance company. Anyway, damn man, that is painful to look at but at least you have insurance to cover everything.

Well, I had two responses over at the LEO forums.......
Heres one verbatim, the other guy said perhaps if the car were really dirty, that might make it hard to get prints, and we know thats not a player, soo..
Too smooth? I don't think so, that sounds like someone was trying to tell your friend that lifting prints was a waste of time. And it is possible that the garage door was too textured.
I kind of doubt car paint is smoother than glass which prints are lifted off of all the time.

well we were gone all day yesterday, for almost 10 hours, my neighbors said there was a teal color car at the end of the neighborhood by my house and they heard some noises behind our house but they thought we were home.
And as far as i know i havent pissed anyone off or have any current enemies.
I hope its not totaled, the kbb is around 15k.
shit i didnt even think about being totaled =[
insurance said to take it to get an estimate but there not going to fork out any cash untill the case is closed because they dont wanna pay and then we catch the guy.
this shit sucks!

dude chris, ill cry twice as hard if your car is totalled. they finally told me they wont total my subaru but both me and the guy i hit will be paying out of pocket for our cars. :/ so im getting used body panels and a cf hood hopefully. the estimates were 5 grand. so getting the used parts, and a cf hood will save on painting and getting oem priced out the ass parts. yepp, just like my stolen handgun, case was closed when they left my apt and got in there car, never heard from them again no updates or an offical we give up notice or anything, as far as i get things, unless caught redhanded whoever did it will 99.9% likely walk free... can try a reward but not to sound to grim have no clue what proof anyone could get to convict anyone other than word of mouth which wont fly.

if nothing is done legally someone will be getting a visit from me for sure. I already know the cops arent going to do shit, our house was broken into last november and had all kinds of shit and $ stolen, as soon as the left the driveway havent heard from them since and weve called countless times.
Im going this week to get an estimate, if its totaled im going to buy it back and use it as a project car and seeing as i already have a daily driver ill just dump all my money from insurance into the ws6
also my friend who lives with me and my good frined chris jones(87MustnagGT) both work at the same autobody shop so hopefully they can paint my car for cheap
Do any crazy driving in the neighborhood? Spinning tires, revving the engine, loud music? Anything? It would take a highly pissed off person to go through with all that. It's likely it's the same person that broke into your house in the past. Any suspects from that time period?

no the car hasnt even been driven in a week and i never do any crazy driving in the neighborhood. we know who the person was who broke into the house and he is awaiting trial. so mabye?
also more news:
neighors said they saw a silver/gray old cop style car with a few kids backing into my driveway around noon, a few got out and went around the back of my house and about 15 min later they left.

Just like when $6000 worth of my camera gear was stolen. Cops took a report and that was about all the work they did about it. Pretty sad when you see shit in the news about someone shoplifting a hundred bucks worth of crap and the cops are after them, but they dont give a shit about thousands of dollars stolen.

Seriously saw the car half an hour ago, it is worse to see in person. The cuts are from a high grade knife probably some sort of military knife to be as deep as it is. Whoever did it was definately out to just get chris. We WILL find out who did the damage and they will more than pay for it, theres no reason to have done it in the first place.

I work at a body shop and when we get cars in that are keyed like this where every panel is keyed,the first thing that goes through our minds and the insurance companys is that it was done by the owner trying to get a repaint for nothing or needs money. Usual legit vandalism is done REAL quick for fear of getting caught. Someone took their time on this one. Not saying it isn't legit jus saying what goes through peoples minds. Did you street race someone or rev on someone and they followed you home? Someone was pissed or jealous. GF have a ex? I swear you can't do anything around here anymore without something like this happening.:angry4:

Heres why the cops don't care:
1. you have insurance and the car will look better when done,, new seats, new paint, so you really are making out when you think about it.
2. they probably think you did it. Sorry to be blunt, but as stated before, it smells like an insurance scam.
Make sure the insurance company knows its a rare car, and fight them NOT to total it, you don't want a salvage title if you can help it. That being said, its going to be real hard finding new seat covers.
good luck man, hope you get these guys. Maybe someone in your neighborhood has a security camera? And GREAT neighbors BTW, they see a bunch of teens run behind your house and don't do anything??
Well being that he's young, they probably assumed it was friends of his.

I mean you have to admit, it doesn't look good? It happened in your garage, so no one could possibly see who did it. Look at the picture of your front hood. Why would they scratch inside each hood scoop? I mean every little part was scratched. The rims, each spoke is scratched, but they didn't slash the tires? You will get your car fixed, no doubt. But in my mind it looks like self inflicted. If they were in your garage, why didn't they go into the house, take anything? Rob the refrigerator? What were the chances the one nite they decided to key your car, your dad laft the garage unlocked?

Well i just dont see how anyone could this id do this myself, im getting STOCK seats put back into it, im getting the SAME EXACT paint on it, only thing im comming out of this with is new rims.
And theyve already questioned several people and the car my neighbors said they saw come and go at my house happens to be owned by the best frined of the kid who we think did it and cops said they have a pretty good lead on it.
I know how it looks, my dad was telling me today how his friends kicked over his own harley and fucked the paint up to get all new stuff on it and claimed it on insurance.
I could see if I was comming out of this with shit tons of $ in my pocket or all new parts for my car, but only thing im getting is aftermarket rims, same paint, same seats, everything.

Last week my little brother was at the skatepark filming his friends skateboard, then filmed his friend beating up another kid while they were at the skatepark, he made a montage of skateboarding, the fight and more skating, and put it on youtube. well the next day (thursday) the brother of the kid who got his ass whopped called me up and was threatening to kick me and my little bros ass if we didn't take down the vid blah blah blah, well then satruday the kid who called and threatened me got his car keyed badly, and he happens to be very good frineds with my cousin who knew i was out of the county all day, come sunday morning i find my car keyed to hell. Coinsidence? I don't think so.
And I had nothing to do with his truck being keyed, i was in salsbury with the gf looking to her dorm room

I have a meeting on Monday to go over the car with insurance, they said they most the can give me without totaling it is $11,500. They said a rough estimate on everything would be:
Paint: $6,500 - $7,500
Rims: $650 - $800 per wheel
Seats - $1000 each

I know my ideas of right and wrong were heavily influenced by one of my brothers, who would have forced me into the right course, not just told me. The other brother might have said something, but not forced me.

last car i painted a whole respray 1 solid color was 370$ in materials..SOM paint for that car prolly is on the expensive side but wouldnt nearly exceed 1k dollars

and seats you can get all the leather seats including the backs for 6-800$
When my shit maro got hit it cracked the rear bumper and tail light
rear bumer was priced at 500$

they cut me a 700$ check
I originaly bought the whole damn car for 300$ ;) and in the real world of fixing it i prolly could have ebay or junk yard parts for less than 100$

it seems really high to me for paint and alittle bit of body work.
when i got my truck painted, granted i didn't go through a business.. i paid 5500, and there was a TON of body work involved on my truck. and materials were close to 1000

5500 would be about right. Close to 2000 dollars jus for paint. Then labor to remove and install the mirrors, bumpers, rockers, spoiler, head light doors, and door handles... jus about everything that is removable. Labor rate is 40 dollars an hour now. Then sanding and painting the damage. As for the wheels and seats i am sure they will charge a betterment on them as they are "used" and won't fork over NEW money for them.

insurance told me to call around to body shops and get quotes, i called 2 and emailed them both my pictures and the prices they gave me were were both within $50 of each other, those are they prices they gave me.
